Kent School’s Reading Day

Before school ended, the English teacher told the students to wear their slippers and pajamas to class the next day and to bring blankets and anything else that made them feel comfortable. Every student was filled with anticipation amidst the confusion and excitement. The next day, the light of early morning came through the classroom hallway, accompanied by the sound of kicking slippers. A Chihuahua jumped into students’ eyes before they even entered the classroom. “Xiugo,” it was the one everyone had been waiting for! All students went to hug it because they were missing their “little family members” at home. This Chihuahua carried students’ affection for their family pets.

Each student chose a favorite book from the shelves and sat down to read it. Slippers, pajamas, and blankets contribute to the cozy environment for readers. Even reading the original English book is a pleasurable experience. Students wrapped in soft blankets ventured into the world of books. The previously cold library had become warm and sweet. It turns out that reading is simple but is irrelevant to the form, time, or circumstance Reading has become a habit. It’s also a way of life.
