Ontario Education System.

The Ontario Ministry of Education requires all students to successful complete 30 credits (18 compulsory credits and 12 optional credits) through grades 9 to 12 in order to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). They must also complete 40 hours of community service and pass the Ontario Language Literacy Test. Corresponding high school credits of international students can be converted to Ontario high schools according to the Ontario Credit Transfer Standard at the time of enrollment.

  • Credit System – The credit system is used in Ontario along with the grade system. Students must complete 110 hours of course time for each credit and a minimum grade of 50% is
    required to earn the credit.

  • OSR Ontario Student Record -Each student’s personal information, school records, and other important information will be recorded in the OSR.

  • OST Ontario School Transcript – All achievements will be recorded on the OST. The grades per course will be updated at the end of each term.

  • Evaluation Method – According to the standards of The Ontario’s Department of Education, the majority of compulsory course assessments are decided by a final exam (30%) and daily performance (70%).
