On Monday, April 22, 2024, the students and staff of Kent School in Niagara Falls came together for a fun-filled day of activities.
Earth Day is celebrated every April 22nd. It is a global movement that honors our planet, and my classmates took action to protect it. On this Earth Day and throughout the week, we can think about the simple actions we can take in our daily lives to protect our planet and make a difference. Some things that we can do include Planting a tree, riding a bike, composting, recycling, conserving water, making a bird feeder, and conserving energy.
In our classes, we went out together as a group and did team-building activities such as picking up garbage around our school property. Some students went to the local community park to do a community clean sweep. We had fun today and enjoyed the memories we made together as a graduating group. We also learned a lot about why it is important to conserve energy and keep our school and community clean and safe.
