Campus Express: Check it out!

The third week of October brought a beautiful blend of growth, discovery, and autumn charm to Canada Kent School. Students enjoyed a serene immersion in golden fall landscapes during the Canadian Thanksgiving break, witnessed the debut of a newly elected Student Council, and connected directly with university representatives at the Ontario Universities Fair. Together, these moments wove together a week of inspiration and progress. Let’s look back at the highlights.

A Thanksgiving Escape: Embracing Autumn’s Beauty

The Canadian Thanksgiving break offered students a perfect opportunity to step beyond campus and into the heart of the season. From endless golden maple leaves and gentle sunshine to quiet, picturesque streets—every scene radiated the warmth of the holiday. It was a chance not only to unwind but to deeply experience Canada’s natural beauty and cultural traditions. Below, we’re sharing a few snapshots taken by students during their outings. Join us in reliving these peaceful and uplifting moments.

Student Council Makes Its Debut: A New Era of Student Leadership

This week’s Student Congress included an important announcement: the Principal formally introduced the newly elected Student Council to the student body. This year’s council members were selected through a structured process involving teacher, administrative, and principal recommendations, followed by a formal election. We are pleased to congratulate Zhang Chengxu as President and Jin Zhihan as Vice President.

As the core of student self-governance, the Student Council embodies responsibility and initiative—and its inauguration marks the official start of student-led activities for the academic year. To conclude the Congress, the Principal took a photo with members of the Planning, Publicity, and Organization departments, encouraging them to lead by example and help build a vibrant, inclusive campus culture.

Meeting University Representatives: Shaping Future Pathways

Kent students attended the Ontario Universities Fair, where they had the valuable opportunity to speak directly with admissions officers from a range of renowned institutions. They asked thoughtful questions about programs, admission criteria, and campus life—taking notes and gathering insights to help navigate their academic futures. The fair not only expanded their perspectives but also gave each student a clearer vision of their next steps, building excitement for the journey ahead.

Though the week passed quickly, it was rich with experience and accomplishment. From cultural immersion during the Thanksgiving break, to the transition of student leadership, to exploring future opportunities at the university fair—each moment contributed to the students’ personal and academic growth. We are confident that these memories will inspire them to keep moving forward and achieving remarkable things.
