Signing Ceremony between Kent School and University of Niagara Falls

On the afternoon of September 18th, Kent’s principal, Rob, along with teachers Liu and Li, had being invited to the University of Niagara Falls (UNF) in Canada for a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony. This event marks an important milestone in fostering educational cooperation between our two institutions.

Upon the arrival, Ms. Felicia, Executive Director of Community Partnerships at UNF, and Ms. Rhianna, Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships warmly welcomed our delegation. They accompanied us on a tour of the campus. During this visit, our team was able to gain valuable insights into UNF’s teaching facilities and vibrant campus culture—an experience that lays a strong foundation for future collaboration.

The signing ceremony unfolded smoothly according to schedule amidst a solemn yet enthusiastic atmosphere. To begin with, Dr. David Gray, President of UNF, delivered an inspiring speech on behalf of the university. He expressed his appreciation for the shared educational philosophies between our institutions and conveyed great enthusiasm for what lies ahead in terms of collaboration. Following this address, Principal Rob took to the stage to share highlights about our school’s unique educational characteristics and notable achievements over time. He emphasized how vital it is that we sign this MOU as it will significantly enhance development opportunities in areas such as academics and faculty-student exchanges.

In front of representatives from both sides as well as distinguished guests present at the ceremony, the presidents officially signed the MOU and captured this momentous occasion with a group photo—a true highlight indeed!

Afterward, UNF hosted a light refreshment session where further exchanges could take place. During this session, Principal Rob participated in meaningful discussions with department heads from various functional areas at UNF regarding specific details related to our partnership plans—clarifying exciting prospects for academic exchanges, student visits, teacher collaborations—and even short-term visiting programs.

We are truly looking forward to embarking on this collaborative journey together! The responsible parties have expressed their commitment to actively promoting the implementation of various collaborative projects, with the aim of jointly developing high-quality educational cooperation programs.

This signing event not only further deepened mutual understanding and trust between the two institutions but also established a solid foundation for future collaboration. In the future, our school will seize this opportunity for cooperation to continuously expand avenues for higher education exchanges, create more high-quality international learning and development platforms for both faculty and students, and contribute to the advanced development of our educational initiatives.
