The Spring Festival is drawing near, and the start of the Year of the Rabbit also heralds the arrival of spring. Let us celebrate the first Spring Festival of Kent students in Canada! Kent students made their own New Year’s decorations on New Year’s Eve, filling the campus with a festive atmosphere.
It is the start of the Spring Festival vocation before the Lantern Festival. On the Friday before the Lantern Festival, the principal and teachers brought a variety of activities for the students, including board games, a friendly gym ball game and a magic show. A special event was a dumpling-making activity organized by the students, from mixing the dough to filling and wrapping it by hand.
However, do you think New Year’s Eve ends right after a big meal?
It is the Spring Festival vocation preceding the Lantern Festival. The principal and teachers brought a variety of activities for the students on the Friday before the Lantern Festival, including board games, a friendly gym ball game, and a magic show. The students also planned a special event in which they made dumplings from start to finish, from the dough to the filling to the hand-wrapping.
The event was planned on this day to celebrate the Lantern Festival and allow all students to feel relaxed and have fun after the most stressful mid-term exams of the year. As a result, the dinner featured the students’ handmade dumplings, limited edition lamb chops, roasted chicken thighs with peppers, fried shrimp, freshly fried spring rolls, delicately plated fruit snacks, and soft drinks. The entire school gathered to celebrate the festival.
The first Chinese New Year for the Kent students away from home was still filled with the festival atmosphere and warmth from their Chinese classmates.
