This week, professor Zong Ping from Xi ‘an Jiao Tong University’s institute of nano science and engineering technology, delivered an interesting chemistry class to the advanced placement class of Kent School’s Zhang Jiagang Kent school foreign language school campus. The class allows students to explore the lotus leaf effect.
Mrs. Zong Ping explained the principle behind the lotus leaf effect to the students and expounded on the relevant principles of liquid surface tension. At the end of the class, students had a grasp on the theory and the knowledge of making waterproof cloth.
