Kent’s Star, Xia Qianqi

Hello everyone! I am Xia Qianqi, a lively, cheerful and energetic girl from Zhangwai Campus of Canada Kent School. I came to Kent School in the summer of 2018, and it has been three years since I joined in this big family full of youthful atmosphere and positive energy. In the past three years, I have made many new friends, and we are each working hard with our own dreams to get into the ideal university; we encourage and help each other in class, and we often get together to watch American TV shows or listen to songs to increase our vocabulary and improve our interest in life. Although there is pain in learning, there is also joy. In the process of learning and growing up, our campus life has become more and more colorful.

During these three years, I have made great progress in both my academic and other skills. Academically, through the education and guidance of teachers and my own efforts, I have reached the requirements for direct admission to Canadian universities (IELTS 6.5) (one of the IELTS exams reached 7 in speaking). Besides, I have gained a lot (such as silver medal in rugby, silver medal in chess, gold medal in Guzheng competition), which have enriched my extra-curricular activities. During this period, the school established a baking club and appointed me as the president. From writing the planning documents to details implementation and management, all of process were successfully completed under my leadership and organization, and finally received full recognition and commendation from the school leaders. It was Kent that brought us all together in past three years, and made me experience the strong learning atmosphere and the solidarity and love among teachers and students. In the future I will live up to the expectations and study diligently to achieve my dreams!
